1950 A.D. Egypt. Earth-Tsan.
2021 A.D. Santa Barbara, California.
Russell Sterett lay in his bed, near death. His time had finally come. He had survived the coming of the Creeping Terror. It had not reached him. Humanity was still in danger, but he was going to be out of its reach.
Or, so he thought.
The figure of the Sphinx came to him at his death bed. He slowly raised his right hand, as if to reach out for her, but the terror had returned. His eyelids fluttered wildly, and then his arm dropped to the bed.
Russell Sterett was dead. The Sphinx smiled, and then vanished into the darkness. The Creeping Terror was still coming, and only time would tell when it finally did.
